Check the seat and lid
This lock is for rigid assemblies only, not soft or padded seats or lids. The toilet’s shape must allow the catches to be placed as shown on the template. Once installed, the lid must not lift more than 0.5 in. (1.27 cm).

Allow the adhesive to bond
Prepare the surfaces as directed and wait at least one hour before use. The manufacturer recommends twenty-four hours for maximum bonding strength. Clean with mild soap and water, keeping harsh cleaners away from the adhesive.
